"My children are now in their twenties and their annual camp experience in the Hill Country helped shape who they have become. When they grew too old to be campers they worked as camp counselors. This experience has enriched their lives and started lifelong friendships. My wish is that every child who has an interest in attending camp has an opportunity to experience nature in this way. Candlelight Ranch is making that possible."

Sarah is a native of Austin earning her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Social Work at UT, Austin. The bulk of her professional career in private practice included contracts with organizations such as The Center for Battered Women as well as therapeutic foster care foundations. Sarah currently serves on the Advisory Committee for Batter Up Kids franchises as their Community Outreach Advisor. In addition, she mentors a 9-year old girl at a local elementary school and stays active in her church and bible study group.

Sarah has been married to Joe for 27 years with two children in their twenties.
