“As a former teacher, a parent and a trained Attention Deficit Disorder Coach, I have seen first hand how learning differences can create enduring hurdles in people’s lives.

Candlelight Ranch addresses challenges experienced by children with special needs such as ongoing physical, mental and emotional issues as well as terminal illnesses. For a brief time they are given the opportunity to step outside of their daily lives to experience something rare to them: camp activities in the healing natural environment of the outdoors. For many this is their first opportunity to attend a camp. Were it not for the board, staff and supporters of Candlelight Ranch, many would never attend a camp.

The dedicated people whom I have come to know on this Board have spoken with their hearts and their heads on behalf of these children. I am honored to be a part of this group.”
