Working with premature babies and newborns with problems, I know many of these kids will never have the opportunities that others do in life. The Retreat offers these children and their families an opportunity to experience and enjoy a natural environment away from many of life’s daily difficulties. The Ranch is an unbelievably beautiful place with magnificent views and interaction with nature and wildlife. It is an honor to be a part of the vision that is Candlelight Ranch."

David is a Neonatologist in the St. David’s Hospital Partnership in Austin and serves as Medical Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery at Round Rock Medical Center. In David's words, he is a proud product of the University of Texas system, including college, medical school, pediatric residency, and neonatal fellowship. He has been recognized in both Best Doctors in America and in Austin Monthly's "Best Doctors in Austin" issue. David's previous research interests and publications focused on lung development disorders, while his current activities include the development of a new medical device designed to aid in the resuscitation of newborns. A native Texan, David has been in Austin since 1995. He enjoys his three kids, the outdoors, time on the lake, and an occasional game of golf.
